I was just Thinking, how about a new TV show rating, BS-1.

Well, here I go again.

If you are someone who lives in the modern world, you are aware of the latest catastrophic killing spree by someone.

It doesn’t matter if they are from this country or from another, really.

I mean, everyone has to come from somewhere, right?

The perpetrator’s religion or political affiliation is just a sidebar to the fact that when someone does such atrocious things to another human being, it is beyond comprehension to a “normal” person.

These killings are in my opinion, the acts of insane people.

And sure, I truly wish we, the people of the USA, and the rest of the world, for that matter, could come up with some perfect panacea that once it is applied, finally stops them from happening.

But, what happened is that this horrible act didn’t bring out facts for us the American public. Rather, they tend to bring out their favorite radical Liberal and Conservative experts, gather them together so they can once again press their opinions on how to resolve such happenings.

The press and talk shows become flooded with them, of course. You can’t read a paper or watch a news show without being inundated with these people that are tagged as “experts”.

And, I understand that for a period of time, these acts are considered to be “news”. But, when days later ,the same words are being repeated, every hour, by all of the so-called “news networks”; accept it, this is no longer truly news anymore.

It is, in fact just a way to fill the dead air time and at the same time force their favorite “filtered opinions” onto the public.

Of course the first waves of these experts who are dragged out of their closets to repeat their “expert opinions” are those who want to eliminate guns while an equal number of others want everyone to own and carry a gun.

These people are so predictable that I, and I feel, my fellow citizens, just tune them out.

Here’s something the so-called “news networks” fail to understand (or don’t care about?); once we hear the exact same clap-trap that has been thrown at us for years, we do not hesitate to get up and pour ourselves another cup of coffee, or whatever.

We know that we can then come back, ten, twenty, or more minutes later, and these same boring fools will still be there, preaching to themselves.

They have no viable implementable resolutions to present to us for consideration, so in essence they are just repeating themselves, ad nauseam.

So, I propose a new TV rating to be flashed onto the scree during such presentations, BS-1

Yep, I mean Bullshit level-1.

The definition should be;

In the interest of presenting only fresh news to the public, this opinion has been rated BS-1. This exact opinion and/or expert has been presented on this channel/network at least a dozen times in the past month.

This rant will be allowed to continue for a maximum of five minutes. If you wish to watch more by this expert, please refer to the following website where you can watch their rants to your hearts content.

I don’t know about you, but I would love to see this rating used, and used often.

Imagine, once you see this flash up onto the screen, you can get up and do something productive with your time like; make another pot of coffee, go fire up the grill for cooking burgers, grab your computer and pay a few bills, maybe even, just talk to your spouse and other family members about something that is newsworthy and might interest you.

I’ll stop here with my rant, the news is coming back on with some real “news”.
