Hail to the Thief |
Yep! It’s relatively quiet on the “Who is blaming Who” front at the moment.
We are finally down to one Democrat candidate and one Republican candidate. So, it no longer matters if we like the choices or not, they are who they are.
And, both of them, are sitting back and polishing their Rocks for future use.
Remember when you were a Kid and you would search around for a nice rock with a smooth flat surface to toss across the Pond. Your whole purpose was to get the perfect rock that would SKIP the most times on the surface of the Pond and travel the furthest before it finally sank into the depths of the cold dark Pond.
Well, I see our politicians as doing the same thing, today.
Their Rocks are potential issues that will make them more popular than their opponent, for a longer period of time, and thus will help raise their visibility with the voting public.
They really don’t care what the issue is, as long as it doesn’t hurt their standings and has the potential to damage their opponents in some way.
So, what do we do?
We, the voting public?
We just sit back and watch the Clowns dance their Fool’s Dance and occasionally pull out another rock and see of it will SKIP well.
