Dreams and Living

Dreams are so important

To the Soul!

They feed it with a Nectar so sweet and true.

Reality tries to skew, blemish and belittle these fragile things, our Dreams.

So we need to protect them as if they were our most precious children.

These Dreams of ours, these inspirations, these hopes?

They feed and Nurture our Souls!

Thank God!

Antagonish – please go away!

I was watching a British detective story yesterday when the detective quoted a couple of lines of Rhyme that intrigued me.
But, for hours after that, and even into my sleep that night, the words kept running around in my head,
and now I wish they would go away (sic)!

Anyway, here’s a copy of the poem by William Hughes Mearns;

Yesterday upon the stair
I met a man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again today
I wish, I wish he’d go away

When I came home last night at three
The man was waiting there for me
But when I looked around the hall
I couldn’t see him there at all!

Go away, go away, don’t you come back any more!
Go away, go away, and please don’t slam the door

Last night I saw upon the stair
A little man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again today
Oh, how I wish he’d go away.

I keep looking,

for intelligence,

from the people, famous, idolized and revered as they are,

in this crazy world of ours.

I read what they say,

and, I weigh it, in my mind with such hope.
