About the AUTHOR

My name is DON BOBBITT, and I am a Storyteller!

My Earliest memories have been of my family gathered together on weekends at our house. Mom was one of 9 children and Dad was one of 10, so I could walk outside on the carport,in the yard, or into the Living Room or Den, and there would be someone, telling a tale about their lives and their friends.

So, it was a natural thing for me to pick up on their storytelling skills, as I could usually be found sitting with them and absorbed every word and physical nuance of their lives. I grew up laughing and crying with them all of those years when family gatherings were a common thing.

My Family Lived through Historic Times and they had Stories to Tell.

You see, they grew up during the Depression, and they knew the hard times and the good times. When they f=grew up, they left the family frm, and they got jobs doing whatever they could find, but I remember that a number of them worked in the CCC camps, and when WWII started, the men volunteered and served when called.

Then, when they got out, they picked up whatever job they could find. I just remember that they all went through hard times; but that was alright, it seemed, they would always have a tale to spin on those weekends at our house.

So I can attest to the fact that some of them were Saints and honestly, many were Sinners. But regardless of their lifestyles, their strengths and their weakness’ they were great people, one and all. And of course, I watched, and listened and learned so many things that became valuable to my growth into an adult.

The wonderful thing about being a Storyteller is the fact that in today’s modern high-technology world, you do not have to stand up around a campfire or in a comedy club to tell your stories to others anymore.

I eventually became good enough at writing (from my perspective, anyway) that I began writing not just Short Stories but actual books.

My Published Books are listed on my personal AMAZON Authors SiteCheck them out and you might find some very entertaining and useful stories for your enjoyment.

The things I learned led my decisions as I grew and made my own place in the world.  I can only say; God Bless them all!
