I love Sunsets.
I always have and I always will.
These random acts of Nature are one of those natural phenomenon we all see regularly, and far too often we just ignore them as we rush through our busy lives.
Just in case you didn’t know, the sterile definition of a Sunset is; that period of time when the Sun disappears below the horizon.
But, this definition, fails so miserably in describing those primal emotions we all experience when we stop and actually look to the horizon at just that right moment.
You know, that moment when the Sun is giving up the light of day to the darkness of night;
That moment when those fading rays of light attack the wandering clouds,
in their effort to continue their journey into infinity.
This is when the clouds fight back by changing that light into so many fantastic colors.
The battle really doesn’t take long at all,
as the Sun rays would never stops their journey to stay long dealing with such a minor battle.
In fact, it’s the dedicated Sunset lover, like myself
who knows to just sit, quietly, hoping to take in
every moment of each Sunset’s light battle.
You see, every second that I watch this death of another day,
with the amazing colors strengthening and weakening
all across the sky,
I wait for that very last moment of the fight,
when the Sun’s very last rays of light light surrender
to the darkness of night,
which is the most beautiful moment of all.
Yeah, I love Sunsets!
