I keep looking,

for intelligence,

from the people, famous, idolized and revered as they are,

in this crazy world of ours.

I read what they say,

and, I weigh it, in my mind with such hope.

But, when I finally do Iie down at the end of the day,

and go over in what I have learned each day,

I too often have to “rock myself to sleep”

with a certain reality.

A reality that I, such a simple man,

formed by my own simple experiences,

know more about life than these rich and famous

who are so revered by others.

To me, again, simple man that I am,

the world is driven and run by the stupid and unknowing.

Why?

Well, it seems be because they are louder than myself,

and my peers,

who live in a world of reality and reason.
